Quilted Sympathy

This card was inspired by a fellow CTMH consultant Laura Beacham. Hers used our new and currently available for purchase, Budding Peony stamp (D1831). Mine uses the retired Chelsea Gardens Scrapbooking flowers and leaves. The sentiment is from the recently retired January stamp of the month. Sorry these retired items are no longer available, but when inspiration strikes it is often fun to use items you have on hand rather that waiting to order brand new everything! I uses one of my favorite color combinations Glacier, Sweet Leaf and Charcoal.

Products used on my card that are currently available are Stitched Quilt Shapes (Z4258), White Daisy card stock (X6027), Glacier card stock (X6004) and ink (Z2841), Sweet Leaf ink (Z2853), Charcoal ink (Z2831) and White Cards and Envelopes Value Pack (X254).

I hope this card will inspire you to do some creating of your own.  If you are interested in any of the products I have used, please shop with me at the link on the right!

February Specials

Close To My Heart has some wonderful specials this February. Remember all of these items are available while  supplies last so order soon if you see something you would like to order!

Love Blossoms is a beautiful card kit creating 12 cards, 4 each of three designs. There are a variety of bundles included with this set. Please click on the shop with me link on the right and select specials to find out all the options. My stamp set will be arriving this week and I can't wait to play with it!

These next two pictures show you the very fun Heart Happy papers which are also available while supplies last in February. The first kit features layouts and cards, the second kit features the instructions for one of our Everyday Life Albums, our 6x8 size. I have completed both kits, just need to add photos and journaling. They are all very fun! Once again, if you see something you would like, please shop with me at the link on the right.

Playing with Old Things

I recently had some long distance inspiration from my sister in Rochester. These were the cards I created with the same idea she had using an old retired hostess reward stamp set for the background stamping. I used the sentiments from some more recently retired sets as well as a stamp and die from Papertrey Ink. I also had fun digging into my October Afternoon papers for the black borders.

All of the cards use current Close To My Heart ink colors, Canary, Smoothie, Glacier, Sweet Leaf and  Black. The colored twine was some I had in my stash thanks to my sister! I used the Scallop Border Thin Cuts Die with Smoothie card stock on the two cards below.

It was so much fun to create these cards in our freezing cold temperatures last week. Though we live 5 hours apart, it was fun to inspire each other with our creations. Thanks, Leslie! Wish we lived closer so we could create together in person!

Thinking of You cards

I was inspired by fellow CTMH Consultant Tracey McWaters to use up some old papers with some new stamp sets! The retired papers are from Boutique. I also used our color of the year Sugarplum Cardstock (X5989) and Ink (Z6500). The sentiments are from the January stamp of the month Card Captions S1901 which is now also retired, sorry! I used the circle tag from Fancy Tags Thin Cuts (Z4305) and the Butterfly Friendship Stamp and Thin Cuts.

Thanks for stopping by! I will be posting more soon!
