True Love Cards

Today I am sharing with you the two cards I created for a challenge with the Close To My Heart team  that I am a member of. They both use the True Love paper packet (X7244B). 

This first card uses the stamp set from the Workshops Your Way Thinking of You Cardmaking Kit (G1181). I also used the Doily Thin Cut (Z4063) with vellum paper (Z3367). The sentiment was stamped with Sapphire Ink (Z2848). The wreath is stamped with our Intense Black Ink (Z4189) which is recommended for watercolors and alcohol markers at it is waterproof, non-smearing and fast drying. The leaves and flowers were then watercolored with our New England Ivy (Z2835) and Eggplant (Z2847) Inks using the small round Water Brush (Z3224). The wreath was also accented using Loose Gold Sequins (Z4235).

The second card is made with the same True Love paper pack. I also used the watering can and Thin Cut die from the Where Happiness Blooms Stamp + Thin Cuts Bundle (Z4086) with Pewter Ink (Z2832). I paper pieced the flowers using the cake image from our June Stamp of the Month It's Your Day To Sparkle (S1906). The floral image was masked and stamped on True Love papers 4 times with Pewter Ink and then fussy cut and glued together before placing on the card front. The blue scallop was created using the Lace Border Thin Cut (Z4060). The sentiment from the It's Your Day to Sparkle was stamped using Sapphire ink on a Fancy Tags Thin Cut and tied to the watering can with Sapphire Crochet Thread (Z4058).
